Tiburon is a destination of extraordinary beauty and rich history. At Maison d’Evanna, we embody these qualities in our boutique on Historic Ark Row.
Ark Row is literally built on an Ark, a unique bit of Tiburon’s boating history. Tiburon, California’s Historic Ark Row is a collection of former 1890s recreational houseboats (“arks”) that were once anchored in Belvedere Cove and later transformed into shore-based homes and shops in the early 20th century. Used by artists and wealthy San Franciscans, they symbolize a unique era of Bay Area bohemian life and maritime engineering.

Featuring a curated selection of contemporary and luxurious European fashion designers, we offer a shopping experience unlike any other. Mother-daughter duo Eva and Evike have sourced stunning clothing and accessories from Paris, Hungary, Florence, Turkey, and beyond. Our collection includes hand-sewn and embroidered boots, as well as exquisite jewelry crafted by master goldsmith Keith Bartel. Visit us Wednesday through Saturday or take advantage of our special hours for styling and consultation.

Meet the Designers
Anne Fontaine is a Franco-Brazilian fashion designer known for making the white shirt a staple in women’s wardrobes. Brand: She co-founded her eponymous luxury brand in 1994 after discovering a trunk of white shirts in her husband’s family attic. Signature Style: Her designs are recognized for “Parisian chic,” often featuring intricate lace, embroidery, and ruffles.

Judit Garam is the founder and lead designer of NUBU, a well-known Budapest-based fashion brand established in 2007. With over 30 years of industry experience, Garam has shaped NUBU into a symbol of “Zen-inspired” minimalism, emphasizing versatile garments, sustainable “slow fashion,” and ongoing collaborations with contemporary Hungarian artists.
Judit Garam is the founder and lead designer of NUBU, the Hungarian fashion brand, which embraces a philosophy centered on sustainability, Zen-inspired harmony, and artistic minimalism. NuBu produces high-quality, comfortable, and durable clothing that emphasizes “discreet luxury” and draws inspiration from contemporary art. Known for its clean, modern, and understated urban style, NuBu’s designs often feature a restrained, monochrome color palette. The name “NU+BU” (Love) symbolizes a close, loving connection between people, fostering togetherness and shared creativity.
Master goldsmith and custom jeweler Keith Bartel is celebrated for his relentless dedication to quality, sharp design sense, and innovative collaborations with his loyal clients. His philosophy of putting quality above everything else perfectly aligns with the Maison d’Evanna boutique experience.
Keith Bartel has a local history in Belvedere, dating back five generations. He grew up at the summer home built by his great-grandfather in Belvedere Cove. From a young age, Keith was passionate about art and started his jewelry career in high school. He furthered his education at the College of Marin, the California College of Arts and Crafts, took private goldsmithing lessons with Alan Revere, and attended the Revere Academy of Jewelry Arts. After finishing a traditional European apprenticeship, Keith launched his own business, designing custom jewelry, setting stones, and repairing fine pieces. Between 1980 and 2008, he taught jewelry-making at the Revere Academy. Keith has also led stone-setting workshops at Mendocino and Richmond Art Centers, San Francisco State University, and the College of Marin. Currently, he designs and crafts unique fine jewelry in his studio on Historic Ark Row in Tiburon. Influenced by nature, geometry, architecture, art history, and superb craftsmanship, his designs range from delicate Edwardian lacy platinum to bold, minimalist contemporary styles. His aesthetic complements Maison d’Evanna’s focus on timeless elegance.
Meet the Team
The boutique is the vision of Eva Claiborne, a highly regarded skincare expert who has operated Eva Claiborne Beauty and Wellness in Tiburon for over 30 years. Eva is Hungarian by birth and has studied and trained internationally, bringing a distinctly European ethos to her work.
In 2022, she launched her own skincare line, Titok Naturals, reflecting her belief in refined, natural luxury and time-honored practices. Maison d’Evanna is her latest venture and represents the evolution of her personal philosophy into fashion and lifestyle.
The boutique also reflects a family legacy of craftsmanship. Eva’s husband, Keith Bartel, is a master goldsmith and owns a jewelry store adjacent to Eva’s beauty studio and the new boutique on Ark Row. A small, curated selection of jewelry will be part of the Maison d’Evanna offering.
Eva Claiborne’s daughter, Eva Temby, co-founded Maison d’Evanna and TITOK NATURAL’s skincare line, skillfully blending her aesthetic knowledge with her business expertise. Our skincare line has thrived thanks to Évike’s dedication and experience. With a master’s degree in business administration and exceptional interpersonal skills, she enhances the aesthetic practice at Eva Claiborne Beauty & Wellness Skincare Clinic, where she has developed a loyal clientele and perfected the art of European skincare. Évike provides premium skincare solutions to help clients achieve and maintain radiant skin while addressing a range of skin concerns. Our business greatly benefits from her expertise and insights, which contribute to our efficient and successful operations.
